did you render your movie out as an avi file in the render editor?
if so then maya does a terrible job of doing it,
what i suggest you do is save the movie as a jpeg ot targa file.
what you will be left with are a series of jpeg frames/images, which you can then import into any video editing software and
once you have all the frames side by side you can just play through and wath your movie.
