Is there an easy way to convert curves to nurbs curves.

i might be wrong about this, but i thought that all curves were nurbs curves.

I'm pretty sure thay are too, even if you create a curve from a polygon edge.

For some reason it is not allowing me to assign hair to the curves. In the end I simply selected revolve from the surface options and then duplicated the curves on surface and it seems to be working. Thought I could of simply assigned the hair to a normal curve though.
