Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

has anyone else had the experience where something (eg a landscape) looks really badly modled or poorly composited in real life? It has happened to me a few times now!!

it happens to me when i look at textures , everything that has a texture or a look i just think about how i can duplicate it

yeah..... but i can deal with textures a bit better now... especially bump mapping..... my favourite :p

This happens to me all the time, especially when I've been doing extensive compositing and color correcting. "Man, the sky looks really fake. And the color on those trees could be better..." :p
