the 8800GTX will be about 11,755 NIS! (Israel currency) and while prices here are extremely high I can use it to put up a computer to almost match a cheap Alienware (OKAY, I exaggerated, maybe quarter of an Alienware :headbang: )
That's almost enough to pay for an year in a university!
(OKAY!, The universities suck pretty much too)
But hey, I'm optimistic! It can change.
I hope not in the way Saddam changes in Southpark though user added image )

PowerPC 970s are just basically cost-reduced POWER4-based chips with an AltiVec unit bolted onto the side. Its 2001 technology. A P4 or an Athlon clocked high enough would beat a 970, so it is pretty much pointless unless you need to run PowerPC software.
