This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
Once you have your tread mesh the way you like it, you can put its pivot point at the center of the tire and use Duplicate with Transform to rotate a duplicate into place. Then using Shift+D, each successive duplicate will be rotated the same amount until you go all the way around.
