Hello everybody!

I have bought the FireGL 8800 (for just 250$ user added image ) I thought that this Card is better than a GeForce 4 Ti4200, but my old GeForce was much faster at Maya. Is this normal? user added image

For playback of particles(in a viewport) and paintfx interaction the 8800 should be noticably quicker as it alledgedly has optimised drivers for maya, but for gereral geometry deformation / ui interaction I'd imagine the ti4200 would come out on top as its a bit more powerful at pushing raw geometry around.
hopefully it'll be nice and stable for you at least user added image
