What codec on new tutorials?

What codec is used for the newest tutorial videos (effectsfire1 & smcloth)? I've been able to play all the previous free videos, but when I play these two I canonly hear the audio but the video doesn't play and WMP doesn't even try requesting a codec.

Thanks for the help.

loook under each tutorial... you need either the media 9 or zoom player or similar plus the divx codec... it is all in the links provided with each tutorial

Always make sure ALL your codecs are up to date. Check at least once a month for currents ones, even if there's been no announcement. It takes all the guess work out of playing a vid file.

I think it's just some transient problem with my MicroSloth viewer. I've got a utility called Pica view that I've been able to view the video. That tells me the proper codec is installed, but that the stupid Windows Viewer is screwing up.

BTW, there were no notes WITH the zips regarding codec, etc.

I appreciate the replys. I was able to follow the firering tutorial and recreate it quite easily - very cool, thanks!
