This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
I'm trying to add a floor tile to a room I made in Maya 6.0 (Yes I'm using an old version). But the problem is on one side of the room it looks stretched.
I have provided a screenshot to show you what I mean..
Looks like you started from a cube and did not layout the UV's. Follow Dave's instructions and select the object and then go to create UV's and select automatic. As he said that will correct the stretching although you may get seams.
You could also select create UVs > planar projection options and pick best plane. This should give you a seamless projection of the UVs for the floor plane.
