Automating JawSync to Audio file...

Greetings - an expression question...

how would you tie the up & down motion
of a ventriloquists dummy jaw to the loudness
of an audio file imported into the timeline?

eg - jaw fully shut when volume is at a minimum,
(silence)

jaw fully open when volume is at a maximum,

It should pop the jaw open and shut, in time with
thw waveform, effectively automating the "lip sync"
to whatever audio track is imported?

What would the expression syntax be?

Dan

There was this free plugin I saw somewhere which lets you attach a wave file to it and use the amplitude info for what ever purposes you want. Too bad I can't remember where I saw it. Can't even remember what was it's name. Maybe I just ought to shut up user added image

Thanks (I guess) kbrown.

: - )

Surely it wouldnt need a plugin? I imagine this
could be acheived in Maya by way of a simple expression?
