This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Mandrake Linux

Anyone have any experiance w/ Linux and mandrake in particular. just got done installing it and am on it now user added image. It pretty cool can't wait to start learning some thing and that. Trying not to help Microsoft's plan for world domination.

I just installed the linux too w/ RedHat. it rocks.... The only promblem is the limitation of software... No PHOTOSHOP and AFTERFX turn me off

The Gimp does a pretty good job as a photoshop replacement.

Mandrake is my choice of linux flavors too. Started a local LUG group a few years ago. Got everyone hooked on Mandrake. The OS is very straight forward so you shouldn't have any trouble with it. The documentation is amazing too. It also has every program you will ever need on the cd's.

Slackware user myself, Mandrake is a great place to start though user added image

using Red Hat 8.0 and I've got to say this is the best release yet! Big diff. from previous ver.
