This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Interesting... I skimmed the article, but checked out the image. I can understand why the first is wrong, (using a multiply blend mode with occ and direct light). But how in PS would you achieve the addition operation?

I just bought Jeremy Birn's lighting book, so hopefully I'll get a good foundation in lighting and rendering soon.

I have always complained about the overuse of AO in film and tv. People forget about spec and main key lights all the time.....nice for the peeps here to have a good read

Ok that has me confused...Im with stwert...in the tuts I have for import intno PS the AO is multiplied John??? is this math mean to be for PS as well??
