Phew questions(yes play on words)

Hey Guys,

Newbie Srlake here.

so I have a few objects that I need help with.

1) is the cordless phone, btw I saw a beautiful one done on here, and would LOVE to know how to do that!
I was trying to put a cut face from a cylinder on top of this plate and then attach it with edge loops, merge verts all that, but it doesnt seem to be going well at all. Any ideas...how would one model a cordless?

2) I need to "fill" this glass with liquid. Is there a way to take the negative space inside of the object and turn it into a solid(transparent obviously)?

Thanks All!

Sean

2) Just duplicate the glass, delete the outer shell, cap it off and add a meniscus if you want it to be realistic. Then reverse the normals, and scale the whole liquid object in just slightly so that there's no exact overlapping geo.
