Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Fatal Error

When I left-click & drag my mouse or use the lasso tool to select a number of objects I get a message that reads "Fatal Error. Attempting to save in C:/Users/Rick/Appdata/local/temp/Rick.20120621.1127.ma". The problem first occurred when I tried to drag a box over an axe I'd made and It crashed. I am on a brand new computer and it has had the problem since I installed maya. My PC is brand new, running Windows 7, runs 64 & 32bit, and was recommended for autodesk programs, so I first downloaded Maya 2013 64bit, and then reinstalled and "repaired" it, and when that didn't work, I downloaded 2013 32bit, and when that version didn't work, I installed maya 2011 64bit & 32bit. They all have the same problem. I'v tried things like saving it as a new project, setting the project multiple times, clearing my history, and just avoiding dragging the mouse, but nothing has worked and the problem persists through all my maya projects but only on this computer, so I assume they're probably not the problem. It doesn't give me an error code, and the place it is saving to doesn't actualy exist. My dogs name is Izzy, and some help would really be appreciated.

Sounds like a graphic card issue and you never did give your system specs. A driver update/rollback could fix it or if you have your old video card still, try that, and if the problem goes away then yeah..if you can't find a working driver for the new card then it might not be supported.
