A subtle change. Changed the light decay to quadratic, dropped GI and compensated on the FG filter settings to get rid of the erratic bright splotches I was getting. To get a more realistic balance between the outside and interior illumination proved to be trickier than I thought it would be. Started off by disabling the interior lights, decided on an exposure setting of f11@1/60sec and then adjusted the outside light intensity until the window sill and exterior was correctly exposed (Brightness level). Then, I disabled the exterior light, enabled the interior lights and opened the exposure by four stops to f4@1/60 and then adjusted the interior light intensities until the inside was correctly exposed. (Did a test with my DSLR to see the average exposure difference between a brightly lit interior and outside. Average is 3 to 4 stops) Final step was to enable the outside light. The final render was f5.6@1/60. The outside was too blown out at 4 stop difference.

Thanks Dave. Watched the first couple of sections of the rigging tut and realised rigging is not as straight forward as I first thought it would be. Will need to a lot of reading before I start it.

Nothing in 3D is straight forward to get from A to B you have to go through F,G and H.....lol..........dave
