Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Select faces. Question:

This is gonna probably make me sound SO dumb...How do I change from selecting a face by clicking anywhere on it back to using the dot in the center. I seem to remember being able to change on an earlier version of Maya. (possibly 8) I'm currently using 2012, but I will be rolling back to at least 2010 as I hate looking at that dark grey "Apple" look.

Ahhh. I was looking in the wrong place. I was sure there was an option over on the left, where the tool icons are. I tried right-clicking the select tool. Anyway, it's sorted now, but doing it never felt familiar, even though I know I've changed it before. Wonder if there used to be a different way of doing that, or if I just don't rememeber...
