Batch Render only works on Master beauty

I've been trying to do a batch render of a model I'm working on. When I click batch render, the dialog box says its rendering the master beauty, and then it says render complete. The problem is that I selected several other render passes that it doesn't do at all. Any thoughts?

Have you associated the render passes with a render layer?

Yes. Only the master beauty and beauty layer render. I have them all associated with the render layer, but the rest of the passes show up as 60 kb sized files that have nothing in them.

So the passes are written to file, but they are all black? Are you using mia_mat_x by any chance? You'll need to upgrade the shader to passes. Also, you can check the passes in your render viewer under File > Load render pass to see if there is a difference between there and the batch render.

They all show up white. I'm using misss_fast_skin.

Yeah, misss_fast_skin isn't compatible with render passes I don't believe. If that material doesn't cover your whole scene, I'm not sure if that would screw up everything or just the areas where that material is. Mental ray materials need a "_passes" suffix to be compatible. Unfortunately, you can't upgrade that shader... you could try using misss_fast_shader_x_passes.

Thanks a bunch. Got it to work. I did custom renders and added some color buffers.
