Maya Bake Option Error?

Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hello,
I am having an issue with Maya's batch bake option box. When I click the icon nothing happens and I get this error (Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2013/mentalray/scripts/mrBake.mel line 2359: Item not found: persp // ). I have mental ray loaded. The batch bake function works and produces an image but by default its really small and need to make changes to the options. Any help on this would be awesome!!!!!!

okay, kinda fixed one issue with batch bake. If a camera has key frames assigned I get no batch bake options, just an error. I deleted the key frames and got the option box but now batch bake just crashes. What I am trying to do is lower render times for an animation by baking the shadows and AO onto the color map. This is a large environment with multiple lights. Are there certain types of lights that batch bake wont work with?
