This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Why don't you get started by creating clean reference drawings, put them on image planes in Maya and start creating the general shapes with primitives. We are here to help if you get stuck. Just ask specific questions with screenshots.

Hey p3579, when you say you did some "basic stuff", what kind of stuff did you do? I have to ask because I you're asking what primitives to start with then I think you should go over some more tutorials to get a better grasp of general 3D modeling concepts. For example, humanoid arms and legs are cylindrical in form and many tutorials will show the instructor using a cylinder primitive as starting point. If you're having trouble even making this decision, then matters will probably just get worse down the line. And as Stwert already said, if you're having problems, all you have to do is ask! user added image
