Maya Crashes

Hi! When I try to open my scene Maya just stops working and I must stop it from the Task Manager. This happens to a one scene only. I don't know if the scene is corrupted or...... I just don't know what to do :(

That sounds like a corrupted file to me. If you open Maya, open the script editor, then open the file, what is the last line that the script editor prints out?

file -f -options "v-0;" -typ "mayaAscii" -o "D:/My Documents/Desktop/ /Others/Maya Animations 2/wat.ma";addRecentFile("D:/My Documents/Desktop/ /Others/Maya Animations 2/wat.ma", "mayaAscii");

This is the last and the only line wchich prints out when I open the scene

We're not always on the site, so please be patient; a lot of us are working professionals.

Attach the file and I'll take a look again.

Yes, the file is corrupted. For whatever reason, there is some data, and then it just stops, and starts writing zeros. Are you doing something when it's saving? Since this is the second time this has happened, I would turn on incremental save. This will write out a separate version of the file every time you save.

You can save some data in the file however.

Hm.. I am not doing anything when it is saving if you mean other programs.. Other programs are on, but they stay like background processes. This problem happened again. I just saved the file, CLOSED Maya, then I restarted my computer so I can render it faster and then the file was corrupted. I don't know what to do, it happens often. And I will turn on incremental save.

And, can I recover my scene or I must start it from scratch?

I can try to recover as much as I can, but about 71% of the file has been zeroed-out.

Here's all I could recover. It's something, but not much.
