HELP PLEASE

Ok so I've been working on making a meat grinder and when I select the two faces, as seen in the picture, some other points are getting selected too. How do I get just the two faces that I need to be extruded to be the only things I select? The dots that are circled are what I need help fixing. Thank you!

Looks like you've got reflection on. Uncheck that in the tool settings.

you can use of shift key in keys for Unchecking anothers faces or points

down the shift and then click on faces that you want be Uncheckuser added image
