This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I want to create a model of a hand that looks like its made up of lots of steel tube welded together (similar to the attached image of a face)
I've modeled the hand in polys (image attached) and the only way I can think of achieving what I want is to manually extrude a plane along each edge, or, offset the edge of each face, delete the internal face and extrude whats left.
Both of these seem like really laborious time consuming tasks, an I'm hoping one of you cleaver chaps out there has much quicker way of creating what I'm after.
Thanks in advance.
