Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Here is a quick video i made so you can see my way of creating topology. It is very short and i didnt get into that much detail on the Maya Tool Kit, but you can get an idea of how i start most of the times.

If i have the time i will make another video to show the processes of retop the full head.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

also look for introductory videos on the Maya tool kit.

Finally!! Wow! So many possibilities now. Thank you Juan. I get it. But what about the details? Like the subdivided 8x detail? How do you get that into Maya?

yes that's what i mean. in brush, as you know, you can subdivide your mesh several times and the higher you go, the more detail you can get. that's what i meant by "subdivided 8x or (8 times)". sorry if i confused you.

Glad i could help. Those videos were done very quickly i just want it to give an idea on how i do it. Look for more advance videos online.

You need a tablet for any sculpting application not only zbrush. I use a simple wacom bamboo tablet nothing fancy.
