Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I'm not sure what your reference pic is, but shouldn't it have more buttons or details in the surface? Maybe add some texts like 'volume, bass, treble'. Or a little antenna.

Well, it's pretty good, for an "art deco" style....especially if the style is more abstract.

If it supposed to represent a functional radio, then you would need a few more dials and a station tuner.

Looks good though....I like the design alot.

i actually have to make this out of real wood!! user added image

so yeh its jsut a design of mine, th eprojetc is to make a radio in the style of art deco. Those knobs are enough, one is on/off+volume and the other is tuning. Just wanted to get some feedback on the model/setup etc...

Lemmy, great start.. and i like how you are presenting it user added image. Just with those sterios.. how it used to be was the wood was much thinner... also you may want to texture the black, to give it a bit of a grey look and bump for the foam. And yes, a few more knobs and you will be laughin...

eg. mwa ha ha ha

there is a kinda grid texture on the speaker but its not showing up to well. There is a bump map, i might increase the depth a bit.
