Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

theyre a bit pointless now
they were once held in the highest regard for professional use, now they still cost a hell of a lot and cheaper macs/pc's will do the same job

you could pick one up off ebay for £600+ (depends on processor speed, you want 300mhz+) Ive played around with SGI/irix versions on lightwave and shake and its nice but I agree nowadays you can do the same (possibly more) with a PC at a fraction of the cost (then again shake 3 has been released on mac/linux and irix only no PC version?) Maya runs nice on my laptop......
