need help..!

hi guys...

i was wondering if anyone could help me out here
ive got this guy who wants me to do an animation for him
and its a tear drop with legs and arms and he wants me to animate it walking across the bottom of his web page
and i really need a quick and easy tutorial on how to rig
the legs, ive looked and looked and they all seem really difficult
so if anyone could help me out here that would be brilliant

but i need help on skinning as well and allso i now need a tutorial for rigging arms..sorry to mess people around
