Very cool! My only crit is that I would make it a lot faster. It's about 15 secs long now and some ppl might get bored in that time already . But I like the idea very much though...

You might also want to watch the intensity of the red lines. They look a little too hot. Make sure they're NTSC-safe.

much snappier - i just get the feeling though that your name is lagging a bit. Since it's your name and the first impression you might want to make it come on a bit stronger.
As it is it comes on blurry and slow and then resolves only to go off again. The 3d modeler and Animator both seem right on tho.
My opionion only
Like the simplicity of it lots.

I would have it go even faster, our flash animation teacher showed us something like that and was saying that having things move really fast and sorta snap to a point, have a very subtle tiny movement then zap it off the screen.
If i have time tomorrow, i'll try and do an example in flash.

*cries* bu.. but .. shake is not cheap lol for what it is its good, i wouldnt worry to much about this section of the showreel, i would worry more about the main content and how you cut that togeather rather than the opening titles
