Removing Trax Animation

OK I have searched me 'Maya Character Animation Book' and cannot find me answer so I'll ask you lot user added image

I have a trax walk cycle for me Knobby character using a character set, when I plonk this clip on him he does his walk. When I remove the clip knobby doesn't go back to his default arms stretched staring straight forwards pose but adopts the first keyframe of walk clip...

How do I get him to adopt the initial arms stretched staring straight forwards pose other than manually doing it?
