its an oral addiction, the act of chewing, using your teeth to split the shells etc. just like chewing gum can become addictive.

mabey... But i eat the shells. And even when i got one of my tonsils impailed on a peice of shell... Still had to eat them!

Something about the salt. Its not normal salt.. like a salt lick...hmmm. The world may never know...
