Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
not sure, but does pressing 6 do it for ya'? 4 is wireframe, 5 is shaded, and 6 is shaded with textures. Hope I'm on the right track -> haven't read this entire thread.

The picture on the left is rendered (Using Render->Render) whereas the picture on the right is rendered by the hardware render buffer... I wanted the final render to look shaded like the one on the right... the way I understood it was to use a a shader like a Blinn shader? At the moment, I'm using surface shader with the texture file attached.
Hmmm, I might not have explained myself very well... the picture on the left is how it does render, the picture on the right is how I wanted it to. Basically, I wanted to still have shadows turned on for a texture map... I've looked through all the options, but can't find it anywhere?
