Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

How to modify a PaintFX tree using MEL

Hello,

This message is for Danny, or anyone else who wants to take a crack at it. I am creating an apple tree, and want to use PaintFX, so that I can use it's inherent animation system for tree wind (the tree is being composited on a windy video backplate). I was wondering if there is a way to replace a bud or flower in the PaintFX growth system, with a sphere (for an apple). I know that you can add MEL scripts (there's a space called Runtime, and Creation scripts). What would I need to do to add fruit to my tree?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I attached the tree and its texture for your reference.
