render time

Ok; I know that if you open up the script editor, it is supposed to show you the frames rendering, like frame 9 at 30%, but mine only always says "now rendering" when I batch. It does not show me what frame it is on in the sequence. Is there a preference for this?

Sometimes, depending on how heavy the scene is, it will say that for me for a while, but only during the beginning of the batch render. You might just have to wait a while for it to get started. If you're waiting for more than a minuite though, I'd say something is probably wrong. don't know what exactly it might be though...sorry

no, it should do it by default. Are you rendering in Maya or Mental Ray? Are you sure it's actually succeeding in rendering?

It never tells me where mines at with batch renders. Are you using maya 4?

Mine will just say rendering. A real problem when doing .avi output.. you cant tell where it is untill it finishes.
