Just fooling around with the extrude faces tool from stuff i remmebered from mikes tut on it. Decided to use some of those nifty features see if i could use them another time...
Anyway.. 2 simple extrudes later i got a nice looking screw, I had the settings super high for everything. So im sure this has to be the highest polycount spiral ever made in maya!
250,000 polies

Nope. Absolutely no use at all considering i can get just as good a model with less than 2500 polies. Prolly less than that if you want/know what your doing.
I was just wondering what my system could handle.. seems to peak about 300000 polies to the point of non use. 250000 makes it slow. 200000 is slower but usable. 150000 isnt bad. 100000 is fine and so on.

i thought, if attatched to a long rod it woudl look like a ship screw(as far as i know bigger ships tend to use screw like props instead of single finned ones.) or at least the few big ships around here.
