Trax question

I've made a clip where an object bounces three times in the Translate X direction, then rotates 90 degrees to face another way. I then want it to bounce off in its new direction, Z.

I understand basics of destructive animation with trax, but how can I add to the translate z on a duplicate of the clip and remove its translate x. Is this possible?

If so, how?
