UV Issues

hey guys so im trying to UV map this object and for some reason, on one of the surfaces, when I click create planar map, and go into UV texture editor, it looks fine but when i try to move it, the box itself disappears.. its really weird. and if I click on the up arrow to move it, a horizontal line appears.. and if i click on the side arrow, a vertical line appears.. and its really weird. any help with this?

If you delete history and freeze transformation of the object should fix that.........dave
