Maya2012 videos of how to bake

Currently working on a Gothic-style house
Hope to bake a variety of things.

Presently doing the chimney and was thinking of baking the bricks to the chimney.

I mean generating normals to a low poly model... AO is for rendering, not what I wanted

Did you try this one? It shows you how to make a high res brick wall and bake the info into a normal map and apply to your low poly version, he models and UV's the wall so the actual map would be in part 3 or 4. It's 2008 and I'm not sure how much has changed, but have a flick through it.
