Please help a newbie

Hello! I just started learning Maya, and I've ran into a weird problem. I am converting a Poly I was modeling into a Subdiv, just like in the tutorial. But, I don't know why, my Subdiv has some holes in it. I've put a link with a picture of the Poly and how the Subdiv looks after converting.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

Seems as the vertex are not connected. Have you checked this?

OK, I've figured it out. Maya was making some extra vertexes, I dunno why. By deleting them it's all right now. Thanks for the help user added image

It was rush hour and I was dashing to a train in New York City's Grand Central Terminal - As I neared the gate, a plump, middle-aged woman sprinted up from behind, lost her footing on the smooth marble floor and slid onto her back. Her momentum carried her close to my shoes. Before I could help her, however, she had scrambled up. Gaining her composure, she winked at me and said, "Do you always have beautiful women failing at your feet?"
