A question:
Say you got a mesh that you want to unwrap but also got to be smoothed (via smooth or with the smooth preview option). How would you lay it's UV's? I mean, when you're on low poly version, there are much less edges, hence the chances of getting an awful headache are reduced and the layout is much quicker. but when you switch your UV'ed mesh to smooth preview, sometimes you got uv distortions because of the smooth operation.
If you UV your mesh in its high poly version, well.... It is a HIGH poly version.. lots and lots of confusing edges to deal with. On the other hand, there will be no distortion.
Some advice on this????
