How to backup a custom shelf?

Hi,

I was wondering where do we find the custom shelf file or config file as I have Maya installed at home and at work and I would like to be able to export the custom shelf I use at home and import it in Maya at work.

Thank you!

There's a 'maya' folder in your "My Docments" folder or the equivalent on your OS. Just browse through the version folder (2011-x64 or whatever), on through prefs and there you'll find the shelf folder.

Yep good tip Gect. I have had my pref become corrupted so I actually make a backup of my entire maya folder. In the event you have to wipe you prefs you can recover your custom shelfs and hotkeys and scripts.
