My first Car.. Mercedes SLK 320

This is my first attempt to model a car, but everybody seems to be doing it, so I thought I would do the same user added image

What do you think of it so far ?

Anyway, lots of work still need to be done. By the way, this is also my first real use of SubD's.

if you stick a blinn on instead of a lambert it's easier to see the surface. next time around how about showing a wire as well?

looking forward to the rest

Here is an update. I have some problems with the subD's in certain areas tho, but I will figure out how to fix those.

oh, carsten - it looks like you only model one half of the car. if you want to avoid the seam in the middle, you could extrude the edges in the middle to the other side - and then you have instant feedback if the seam is smooth or not - w/o having actually a full car.

it will be smooth when I attach it .. if not, then I will just remove the creasing in the problem areas.. its not that big a deal. But thanks for the tip user added image

Thanks alot for posting the image! Unfortunatly I don't know how to use ICQ. Its a pretty cool Shader. I was alittle confused, just wondering, Is the layered shader plugged into the incandescence? Thanks for taking the time out to explain, allways like to learn new things about shading networks.
