Man...I feel so dumb....I didnt realise a patch was out yet, so I reformatted, and it was still there, but I couldnt install the patch cause it needed sp2, and now i cant get a connection to the server to dl the service pack. Ill figure something out. SOmeone needs to kill the person that made this.

Yes I too was Unaware Of the patch and thought that my Virus proctor would keep the MSBlaster WORM!!! from affecting my system, I was dead wrong, I’m now still in the meddle of reinstalling every thing back in (What a pain in the A$$)If any one has any Advice about weather or not that I should reload some of models back in to Maya I’d be grateful for the input.user added image

This worm doesn't invade your OS through e-mail or something, but it uses a exploit in the Windows OS. And almost all virus scanners don't watch these kind of things. So most anti-virus programmes won't detect the worm before your system is infected.

But Internet Providers also can take appropriate measures. I know my provider here just blocked TCP port 135. So the worm won't affect my PC at home user added image

whatever!

who ever wrote it was a clever bastard
all the infected comps DOS (denial of service) attacked the windowsupdate server, dont know if it had any effect though

there was also a message to bill encoded in the virus, something along the lines of, "why do you let this happen bill, stop making money and fix your software."
