The V-Ray.exe project

"We present the new V-Ray project - the V-Ray.EXE. A new project that will evolve as a standalone application, not bound to any 3D package. It will have connections to Alias Maya™, discreet 3dsmax™ and probably more in the future."

that'll be really sweet when they're finished user added image
i've seen some incredible renders from V-Ray, and even the free version (the current 3dsmax version) has image-based lighting and GI! sure hope they still have a free version when they finish the EXE.

has anyone tried out the current version of it? is it fairly usable yet?
