This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Cloth Without Maya Cloth?

I am (or will be soon!) animating a character wearing a long dress. As I don't have Maya Unlimited, I cannot use Maya Cloth to make the skirt look realistic. What is the best way to do this, short of buying Unlimited?

I know one method would be to use bones and animate it along with the character, but is there another, easier way of doing this?

Cheers,
Malcolm

i'd go with bones and use some spline ik's and make the curve a soft body. or make the cloth a soft body and use constrain and collision objects. or get syflex. very expensive prices but they have a watered down version for 400$. https://www.syflex.biz/
