down converting a file

Can anyone tell me how to convert a maya 6.5 file into a maya 6.0 file. I'm trying to share a completely rigged model with a friend of mine but he has 6.0 and can't open the file. I'm sure there must be a way. I don't want to just export the model as an .obj because it won't contain the rigging info...

This is in the tips & tricks thread in Maya Chat, but basically in 6.5 you'll have to save the file as .ma vice .mb. Then open the .ma file in an ascii text editor. On line 4, change the requires value from 6.5 to 6.0. If you're using Mental ray you'll need to change that value also. Save the file then open in 6.
