Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

modeling car

i just start using maya and i hav emade a few things and they have turned out fine. but with the car i dont understand how you make it look smooth and rounded like a real car instead of like a box with a few curves here and there. My teacher for the class has never used maya. And he says that people that make car are using CAD files and not really modeling them. But then I tried looking up info on the car and I saw that a person on this site put pictures of the car one planes it looks like and made curves to match the pictures on the planes. Is there really no one modeling cars are the just using CAD files? Or do I Need to use those pictures on planes like I saw on this site? Thanks to whoever reponds

remember to undo the smooth change before saving and quitting or deleting the history though otherwise you'll end up with an unmanagable model if you want to change it later!
