This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

shatter an object

In order to shatter an object with another object. I create an object to shatter and hid the original surface. Now the part I'm not shore about isl, do I highlight the shattered object and set the collision options on both or what?

Do a search for "Shatter" in the docs, and the "How-to" is there for you ready to gouser added image

Sorry, it was just easier to say that than do a mini-tutuser added image

Thanks I have found it. Do you know anything about adding texture to particles or where I can find a tutorial on it?

Again, if you have Maya 6 or later, if you do a search for "texture particles" in the "Tutorials" part of the bottom results, there is a whole list of the ways textures and shaders can be used to influence and appear on certain particles, and fluidsuser added image
