Screen Capture

Heya Folks,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with some suggestions.....I need to get a screen capture program that can capture your movements in windows and then export to say a quicktime file or avi file.....like say you are working in Maya, and you would like to record it ( With all the menus showing up).... I tried a program called Fraps out, but can't seem to compress it properley....any suggestions on which program is decent??

Thanks,

Fraps worked? Hmmm, I thought it was only for directx stuff. But if you could get the recording from maya using fraps, just in a different format, why not use a converter to convert it?

Alienscience......Yeah, fraps did work but the marking menu and all the windows in Maya did not pop up, and for like 30 seconds of video without sound, the file came to something like 1GB.... user added image So I guess it serves it's purpose with the directX stuff....
