This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
Just a few days ago I discovered a game that looks truly amazing and innovative (I think that's the word). This game, which is being made by only three people, has incredible graphics, an new approach to a very used genre (FPS), and features a brand new game engine. I was just amazed when I saw the sneak peek video of it on the Nvidia website. The gam'e name is Project Offset. It is, as mentioned above, a FPS, but not with machine guns, shotguns, and grenades, but rather bows and swords. There are many interesting features in concept for the game, such as the ability to ride dragons and man siege equipment.
