This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

My stratocaster

Hi!
This is my first sirius work in maya.
I had modeling my guitar stratos with N.U.R.B.S. and rendering in mental ray.

Hope you like it. (coments are welcom)

My only crit is that the ridges only the dials of a real strat are fewer and more pronunced. Apart from that it looks good.

Ok, well the little hook up whole for the cord that connects to the amp or pedal or whatever is way to reflected. Mabye turn down your raytracing, if you used it, if not then try to fix it maybe.

only one crit the body is too reflective esp the sides mayb u should turn it down a bit. is it a layered shader ??? may b u should consider one ..may b make a layered shader so that there is ur cuurent texture with another clear one which would b shiney and give that look off a clear coat on top of the wood

heh jimi was a left... but he used a right handed guitar..
smart guy.. just flipped it the thing and changed the strings around

after looking at the pics again i also agree with above in that your fretboard looks a bit flat

Did he restring it, i thought he just left it how it was.

no, he restrung it, otherwise he would have had to play his chords in upsidedown positions which he didn't, although
i have seen a couple of left handed people play thatway, looks strange

yea i know, so have i.... this guy that used to play with Eric Clapton did that.. i think thats just pointless and stupid... making it harder on urself for now reason. it looks weird too
