nurbs and curves suck, that´s the sad truth!
this just has to be said once..

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.

I don't think so.
If u know how Nurbs works, it can be a very good method for modeling anything.

Quite right. Some people prefer using different types of modeling methods, with polygons being the most popular, as applies for myself.

Couldn't agree more 80 percent polygons 20 percent whatever else get the job done the quickest at the time!

NURBS for inorganic, especially mechanical with many wires, and polys for organic moldels.

:bandit: True, and to think that my first semester class in Maya was strictly centered around NURBS, curves, boundaries, etc. It wasn't until I started working with Polygons that an epiphany of sorts happened-- it was so easy, intuitive, clean, efficient, and it ALWAYS worked! If you were off a vertex or the curve was off when you cut the curves for boudraries, your entire model was screwed permanently in later stages, yet Polys could be undone at any stage.

Furthermore, there are simply a more robust tool set for Polygons-- NURBs are just too incomplete as of now. Maybe in the 9.5 version NURBs will be as developed as Polys. user added image

Name one thing that isn't bogus...
