Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Final gather problem!

Hi..

I'm trying to make a final gather render(clay) but i get this message on one of my meshes and that mesh won't show up in the render:

// Error: (Mayatomr.Geometry) : polyToSubdShape2, non-quadrilateral face in subdivision surface base mesh not supported, ignored //

What does this mean and how do i solve this problem?

are you using creases on your sub d's?

no i'm not but i think i solved it with collapse hierarchy.
